NEVADA

Elko. Co., Meikle mine
  Gemmy thick (nearly 1 cm) clear golden crystals to 3.5 cm (occur larger), with small milky/clear calcite crystals, 7.5 cm. Also clearer tabular crystals to 4x4 cm in group (pictured R&M 74/6).
   
Elko Co., Dee mine
  Flattened light to dark amber crystals to 2.5 cm in cluster with microscopic pyrite inclusions, 7 cm (pictured MR 31/3). Also similar piece, more transparent crystals to 3 cm.
   
Elko Co., Murray mine
  "Sugar cube" (quartz coated) blocky barite crystals to 2 cm in 8 cm group (occur larger); similar 7 cm group with 3 cm crystals partially coated with quartz and partially not (lustrous barite faces). Also interesting flat, fairly clear thick tabular 3 cm crystal with tiny stibnite crystals on edges; hollow center of barite crystal has a tiny stibnite needle in it, all perched on blocky barite crystal with tiny stibnite crystals, 5.5 cm overall.
   
Elko Co., SSX mine (South Saval Extension)
  Clear pale golden crystals to 2 cm perched on sulfide matrix, 7.5 cm.
   
Eureka Co., Lynn district, Goldstrike Pit
  Transparent yellow blades to 1.5 cm on sparkling matrix, small stibnite crystals, 4 cm.
   
Humboldt Co., Sequoia pit, Lone Tree mine
  Clear to grey lustrous fairly thick tabular crystals to 1.6 cm on edge; backs coverd with drusy barite. 3.6x4 cm specimen.
   
Humboldt Co., Pinson mine
Balls of thickish blades, concrete-like texture, warm beige to sand color.
   
Humboldt Co., Twin Creeks mine
  Attractive milky/clear tabular blades to 3 cm, pronounced sawtooth edges, in group on orpiment crystals, 7.5 cm.
   
Mineral County, Queen Valley
Small (to 1.25 cm) white blades in groups. Gene Tribbey specimen.
   
Mineral County, Rawhide district, Regent mine
Lustrous tabular thin crystals to 2 cm with orpiment and other inclusions.
   
Nye County, Northumberland mine
  Classic locality. Fairly clear gray prismatic crystals to 2.5 cm in group, milky centers, 5 cm Also transparent gold prismatic crystals to 2.5 cm on matrix, 6 cm overall.
   
Pershing County, Hecla Rosebud mine
  Two blocky, porcelain-white tabular crystals, 1.5+cm each, 3 cm specimen. Also interesting gray equant crystal, 3x3 cm, showing prominent "growth hummocks" on front face.
